The Annual Maryland Regional Science Fiction Convention.
Explore Science Fiction & Fantasy in literature, poetry, art, films, animation, costumes, games, music & more! See panel-discussions, author readings, masquerade, art show, dealers room, science briefings, computer room, concerts, performance of the play FANimal Crackers Friday evening, a dance, charity auction (Here is a list of charity auction items we have so far!), and other special events.
For 1999, Balticon's Literary Program will include autograph sessions, poetry readings and discussions and presentation of papers on science fiction, fantasy & horror in books, film and television. There will be separate poetry, academic, literary, writing and media tracks. Don't forget about our Writer's workshop and Young Writer's Contest*!
*Preregistration for these events is required.
Any ideas you have for our programming tracks are also welcome.
The room rate for BALTICON Members at the Tremont Plaza Hotel is $89.00 per night plus tax for single, double, triple and Quad. This lower cost and larger room should make the short trip to the OMNI more tolerable.
One day memberships at BALTICON 33: Friday $20.00 Saturday $30.00 Sunday $15.00 Maximum to upgrade to full weekend at any point is $45.00
